International students enhance quality, diversion, and international outlook in the Danish educational system.
To ensure high quality in higher education, the Agency for Higher Education and Science assesses the level of foreign education in pursuance of Assessment of Foreign Education Act. Decisions on admission are made by the different education institutions in pursuance of the Orders on Admission.
This entails, among others, that persons from abroad wishing to study at a Danish higher education institution must hold qualified education from abroad, before they apply for admission in a Danish context. In addition, in many cases a grade point average must be converted, so the grade point and exam score averages from abroad can be compared with the Danish grade scale.
Ukrainian refugees must have the opportunity to quickly start an education in Denmark.
The various institutions can get help in their assessment of education qualifications of Ukrainian students in the admission to higher education as well as the possibility of getting support from the Danish State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme or the EU Erasmus+ scheme.
