Students at upper secondary education and higher education levels can obtain a discount on public transportation through the so-called “Ungdomskort” (Youth Card).
The Youth Card is a periodic travel pass giving discounts on public transportation from your residence to the educational institution or your practical training site, as well as discounts on travels in the rest of Denmark. The scheme is administered by the Agency for Higher Education and Science and the Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority.
As of 1 May 2026, the Danish institution ATP will take over the Agency for Higher Education and Science’s part of administration of the scheme.
